At the East Coast Hockey
Organization (ECHO) national
championships held in Atlanta,
GA June 29 thru July 2, the
Treasure Coast Boneheadz travel
hockey team captured the 10u
silver division crown. The
Boneheadz won all of their
games, beating the Arsenal Black
from Tampa 6-2 to capture the
gold medal. The ECHO nationals
are held each year and feature
the top qualified roller hockey
teams from the entire east coast
of the U.S.
The 10u Boneheadz team consisted
of goalie Kelly Posada, and
skaters Anthony Lerette, Shane
Visnick, Beau Ladwig, Jordan
Anderson, Payton Davis, Nick
Cafone, Spencer Stillman, Orion
Linnehan and Zac Molinelli. The
team is coached by Tim Lerette
and Eric Rose. Anthony Lerette
was awarded the most valuable
player award for the tournament
- netting 14 goals and 10
assists during the event and
Kelly Posada won the most
valuable goalie award.
The Boneheadz are a travel
roller hockey organization that
practices out of the YMCA
Sportsworld facility in Stuart.
The organization has been in
place for 2 years and consists
of 8u, 10u, 12u and 14u teams.
The teams have captured many
local tournament championships
and now have 2 national title
wins to their credit. Please
feel free to stop by the YMCA
Sportsworld to see their plaques
and banners, as well as to watch
them train. Anyone interested in
playing for the Boneheadz or
playing in the recreational
hockey league can stop by the
